Welcome

Boronia Fire Brigade is part of the Country Fire Authority (CFA) in Victoria. The CFA is one of the world’s largest volunteer emergency service and community safety organisations.  It has over 59,000 volunteers, supported by over 550 career fire fighters.  The CFA's area of responsibility extends from the outer suburbs of Melbourne to the state borders.

As an integrated fire brigade, Boronia is manned around the clock by career fire fighters.  The brigade has a contingent of over 100 members including 30 operational volunteers, 20 career fire fighters and 50 brigade members incorporating support staff, an auxiliary and junior fire fighters. The Officer In Charge (OIC) of the Boronia Fire Station is also a District 13 Operations Officer.

The Boronia Fire Brigade is one of the busiest brigades in the region attending around a thousand calls a year. While it has a specific area of responsibility, the brigade is often called out to support adjoining brigades and occasionally, members have responded in support of other CFA brigades located throughout Victoria, as well as, other fire services interstate in times of major crisis.

The fire station is located at 300 Boronia Road, Boronia in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.  The brigade is a member of the Knox Group located in CFA District 13 of the Eastern Metropolitan Region. The Knox Group consists of eight fire brigades - Bayswater, Boronia, Ferntree Gully, Montrose, Rowville, ScoresbyThe Basin and Upper Ferntree Gully.
